Present: Cllr Lane (Chair), Cllrs. Brierton (vice-Chair) Baugh, Bown, Broom, Clark, Harwood, Slaney, Steppings and Wells, Cty Cllr. D Williams, AVBC Cllr. Gee and 3 members of the public. Clerk in attendance.
Cllrs. Bateman (personal) and Thorpe (medical).
Clerk reminded members of the importance of declaring any interest in any agenda item. Declaration of an interest is entirely the responsibility of the individual member and any failure to do so would constitute a breach of the agreed Code of Conduct by that member.
Clerk provided each member with a form to be used to register any such interest.

Damage to the new seating area at the Market Place to be reported.
Members expressed disappointment that it does not now seem possible for the police to be represented at Parish Council meetings.
It has not been possible to identify any resident who received written information about part-night street lighting. This information to be passed to DCC.
The meeting thanked Cty. Cllr. Williams for his work on behalf of the Parish. He agreed to continue to pursue the matter of the poor road surface on Hollins Lane and the unfinished repairs on Potters Hill.
Council expressed regret that Cty Cllr Martin Tomlinson had not been able to attend any of its meetings and Clerk was instructed to write to him re-affirming the open invitation to attend. It was agreed that Parish matters requiring his attention should be conveyed to him by email.
The Minutes were approved and signed.
Winter Service – Clerk to order an extra grit bin for the Burial Ground drive.
Market Place development - Cllr Steppings reported that despite some minor vandalism the project is nearing completion. He also informed the meeting that Diane (the proprietor of Crich Hair and Beauty) has kindly offered to install a metal rail along the top of the new wall, members agreed to accept to this generous offer and Clerk was instructed to write a letter of thanks to Diane, Cllr Steppings thanked Cllr Brierton for all his support and hard work throughout the project. Chair thanked both Cllrs Steppings and Brierton on behalf of the whole Council. RESOLVED: The wording on the commemorative plaque to be:

Clerk will pursue compensation for the damage done to Fritchley Green.
The Precept claim form (2014-2015) was signed ready for presentation to AVBC.
Cllr Wells explained that no decision on the Parish Councils continued involvement with the public toilets can be taken until AVBC clarify the terms of the agreement if it is to continue for a further year or more.
It was agreed that a meeting would be held at 7.30 pm on Wednesday January 22nd with the aim of identifying and prioritising future Parish developments.
Parish map- Clerk will continue to discuss this matter with the authors of the existing map.
A letter has been sent to Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service regretting the proposed closure of Crich Fire Station. Receipt of this letter has been acknowledged.
The poor sequencing and timing of traffic lights at bottom of Bullbridge Hill has been rectified by DCC Highways.
A letter of congratulations was sent to James Lewis regarding his auctioneering marathon in support of local charities.
The Pestforce contract ref. mole control at Burial Ground. RESOLVED: The contract to be extended for a further year.
Insurance of Members possessions – this matter and other matters related to insurance to be discussed at the next meeting.
The training event run by Sarita Presland of DALC was helpful and informative.

AVA/2013/0943 Park Head Farm Conversion of triple garage to ancillary accommodation and pigsty to office.
AVA/2013/0962 Top Hagg Lane – extensions and alterations.
AVA/2013/1084 Woodhay Baulk Farm – conversion of existing farm building to single storey dwelling (re-submission) NO OBJECTION (7 votes to 3)
AVA/2013/0808 Moor Edge Farm Park Head – conversion of farm buildings into dwelling house OBJECTION (7 vote to 2 with 1 abstention) on grounds that this is a working farm building and there seems no justification in changing its use
AVA/2013/1065 4 North View, Crich – Creation of 3/4 bedroom property in the garden of North View (departure from the adopted plan). NO OBJECTION
AVA/2013/1086 School House 1, Hindersitch Lane Whatstandwell – Erection of detached dwelling (departure from adopted plan). NO OBJECTION – comment made about safety issues as the site is adjacent to Crich Carr School.
