Blocked gullies at Dimple Head and Bullbridge were reported.
ACTION – Clerk to report the problem to DCC (ref F11 7588).
Cllr. Gee expressed his dismay at the fact that AVBC has withdrawn its Core Strategy from the approval process consequently extending the period during which the locality is vulnerable to unsuitable planning applications.
ACTION (agreed unanimously) – Chair to write to AVBC Cllr. Alan Cox (Chair of Planning) asking for a meeting so that he can explain the rationale behind it. Cllr. Lane (accompanied by AVBC Cllrs. Thorpe and Gee) would also take the opportunity to apprise Cllr. Cox of the considerable level of concern within the community and to ask that the Core Strategy be re-submitted for approval without delay.
Chair to write to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

Chair expressed her deep concern over the action by AVBC in which they have withdrawn their Core Strategy proposal from the approval process (see 16/1309 above).
Finance Committee – Clerk has applied for the forms which would allow the Council to apply for a Credit Card
Neighbourhood Plan – the official questionnaire is about to be distributed. An information morning is to be held on the Market Place on Saturday 9th of January and publicity for the questionnaire will be supported by posters and banners.
Winter Service – 4 new bins will be purchased to be located as follows (subject to DCC approval):
Dimple Lane x 2 (near Crich end and at Fritchley end)
PLACE project – final proposals are awaited from 3 contractors.
Burial Ground Development – more detail regarding the geological survey and the useful depth of soil will be sought by Clerk. If the useable depth is inadequate over a significant part of the site the feasibility of the project will be reviewed.
Precept application form was signed requesting £54,500 for the Financial Year 2016-7
Damage to Fritchley Green – the damage is now less obvious but it is hoped that the school will continue to discourage buses from entering the village.
Concern over the safety of the Bullbridge/A610 road junction – representations have been made to DCC Highways by the Parish Council, County, Borough and Parish Councillors and individual members of the local community.
Defibrillators – the next PC meeting will need to make some serious decisions regarding the location of the units.
Parish Council telephone system and website – Members agreed to study the proposals made by Cllr. Anstead to enable a decision to be made at the February meeting.

Letters of thanks for grants have been received from the following:
Sims Charity (with request for a review) – it was agreed that the grant will not be revised. A clearer description of the organisation’s activities to raise funds is required if the criteria for making grants is to be met.
Crich Brass – it was agreed that the decision will not be revisited but that the applicant should be advised that a fuller application next year would be viewed sympathetically
