Cllr Lane (Chair), Cllrs. Brierton (vice-Chair) Baugh, Bown, Clark, Harwood Slaney, Steppings Thorpe and Wells. Cty. Cllr. Jackson and 1 member of the public. Clerk in attendance.

Builders vans parked outside The Loaf are causing an obstruction � Clerk to refer the matter to PCSO Walker.

13/914 Reports from County and Borough Councillors

AVBC Cllr Thorpe presented a written report.
Cty. Cllr Jackson was attending his last meeting before retirement from a distinguished career in local politics. All members joined Chair in thanking him for all he has done for the community and in wishing him a long and happy retirement.

13/915 Minutes of the meeting of March 4th 2013

Minutes of the meeting of were confirmed and signed by Chair.

13/916 Matters arising from the meeting of March 4th 2013

STW Reservoir Project � the Liaison Committee has not met since the last PC meeting.
Market Place Working Group - Cllr. Steppings presented detailed proposals and described the need to obtain planning consent. The proposals received broad approval and the proposed costs were agreed to be within budget. Resolved: Cllr Steppings to put in motion the planning application and to seek estimates for the work. He will continue to liaise with the Gangroad Project group.
Public toilets (Cllr. Wells) � the toilets opened on Wednesday 3rd April. Chair thanked Cllr Wells and his team for all their hard work in bringing the project to fruition.
Proposed “Open meeting” � it was generally agreed to be a worthwhile exercise. Resolved: Clerk to write to active groups within the community inviting them to a meeting to be held at The Glebe Field Centre in the autumn
Winter Service � Cllr Wells reported that the provision of grit and bins by the Parish Council had proved to be a success. Provision for next winter will be reviewed over the summer. He also congratulated DCC on their efforts with particular reference to the introduction of clearing tertiary routes. Chair thanked and congratulated the Winter Service Working Group, reserving particular admiration for Cllr Slaney and his 4.00 am starts as Snow Warden!

13/917 Report by the Parish Clerk:

The date of the July meeting has been changed to Monday 15th July.
Accounts 2012-2013 are ready for internal audit.
Allotment rents are now in.
Chair represented PC at opening of Atlantic House � Rolls Royce
Acknowledgement received from AVBC Enforcement Officer and Greene King Brewery regarding unsuitable repairs to the roof of the Black Swan. A letter has also been received from Greene King Brewery stating that they have been unable to source matching materials.
