Cllr M. Lane was unanimously elected as Chair (proposed by Cllr. Thorpe and seconded by Cllr. Broom).
Cllr. Brierton was unanimously elected as vice-Chair proposed by Cllr. Clark and seconded by Cllr. Harwood).
Members were allocated to committees (please see separate sheet).

The disappearance of the Common bus shelter was reported.
AVBC Cllr Thorpe provided a written report.
AVBC Cllr Gee reported that he had received confirmation that the Planning Application for 113 houses off Roes Lane had been referred to the Planning Committee for discussion and that it would not be decided under delegated powers.
Cty Cllr Williams has been representing the issues of dropped curbs at Fritchley (sadly this work will not be undertaken in the next Financial Year), the state of the road surface at Bobbin Mill Hill and issues with the part-night street lighting programme – Clerk was instructed to follow up related to this matter.
The Minutes were approved and signed. They can be viewed in Reception at the Glebe Field Centre and on the Market Place notice board.
STW Reservoir Project – Chair attended the liaison meeting held in April and reported that:
Traffic movements will increase from July as heavy plant is moved on to the site
Any complaints ref lorry movement must be accompanied by details of date/time/registration number/logo etc.
A website is now available offering contact details and useful information on the project in addition to the opportunity to report problems.
Chair reported that she had invited Leanne Town to attend a council meeting. Leanne intends to set up a committee which represents a wide range of local groups to advise on “Community Engagement” in relation to using any money donated by STW in the best interests of the community. Cllr. Baugh agreed to represent Crich, Cllr. Slaney – Whatstandwell and Cllr Bown – Fritchley.
The bench seat at the Market Place is now in place – once again many thanks to Cllr. Steppings!
The new public notice board is ready for delivery.
Clerk was instructed to get more quotes for the refurbishment of the Market Place troughs.
It was agreed that a new public bench would be purchased for Wheatcroft.
On-going tenancy of the public toilets deferred to the next meeting.
Painting the telephone box on the Market Place – Clerk was instructed to get more quotes for the work.
The internally audited accounts were approved and signed by Chair. They will be sent to the external auditor.
The allotment rents have been collected and forwarded to Mr Briddon
A letter has been sent to AVBC planning regarding the proposed Roes Lane development (113 houses).
The poor state of Cromford Road has been reported to DCC
The new bench was vandalised on the first day, the matter has been reported to the police ref. CR/18724/14. Clerk has established that scratches on the wood can be covered by varnish and that a kit to repair the paintwork is available from the manufacturer if polishing out is not possible.
Pig kennels field shelters and wooden stables are being built around Woodhay Baulk Barn. Clerk was instructed to report the matter to AVBC.

*AVA/2014/0281 land off Roes Lane, Crich – outline planning permission for 113 new dwellings Objection. Members of the Council were unanimous in objecting to this application and Clerk was instructed to write to AVBC detailing the grounds for the objection. This decision enjoyed the support of all members of the public present and of all those who had written to the Council

Email from a resident of Drovers way regarding the impact of the traffic lights on the safety of traffic exiting that road.
Report of beer cans, bottles and broken glass at the RG – this has been reported to the police
Five emails expressing concern about the proposed Roes Lane housing development.
