09/453 Matters raised by members of the public

Excess amounts of water run down Dimple Lane, Roes Lane and Wheatcroft Lane. This is partly the result of heavy rain but where it is a consequence of blocked drains these will be reported to DCC Highways.

There is continuing concern about dog waste and about the failure of dog owners to clear the mess Clerk reminded the meeting that dog waste (sealed in plastic bags) can be put into ordinary litter bins.

There are two grit bins at the bottom of Amber Hill - one should be at the top. Also the new grit bin on Hollies Lane is in the wrong position Cllr. Bown offered to review the current situation.

The footpath adjacent to the Recreation Ground is spoilt by litter. AVBC will be asked to do a clean-up.

Parking is a problem at many locations especially on Jefferies Lane and around The Beeches. Parking on pavements and in other areas which constitute an obstruction should be reported to the Police AT THE TIME OF THE OFFENCE. Where careless parking creates a problem for a disabled person they should seek the help of the Amber Valley Access Group .
