A number of residents of Wheatcroft attended the meeting to express their opposition to a likely planning application for a wind turbine in the area.� One letter was read to the meeting and another had been received by post. Chair explained that Members would study the application when it was made.
Cllr. Thorpe provided a written report.
Minutes of the meeting of were confirmed and signed by Chair.
STW Reservoir Project - a letter sent to Cty Cllr Spencer of DCC ref failure by AVBC to incorporate road safety measures into planning permission for STW reservoir project has been acknowledged..
Letter sent to Cty Cllr Spencer ref the need for speed restrictions on rural roads has been acknowledged.
Christmas trees are now in place. Chair thanked Cllr. Clark for his work on this project.
Public toilets it was Resolved: to take over the public toilets for one year under licence from AVBC. The costings prepared by Cllr Wells seem to be within the budget of the Council (�2,000 pa running costs and �2,000 refurbishment). Cllr wells was thanked for all his work and he will continue to pursue the financial, practical and legal aspects of the project with a view to re-opening in the New Year �
Winter Service � thanks to the work of the Winter Service group council is ready for winter. Cllr Slaney (Snow Warden) has already been out salting the main pedestrian walkways.
Notice boards � Resolved: to incorporate a new good quality notice board into a project to improve the Market Place. Cllrs. Brierton, Broom, Clark, Stepping and Wells agreed to join a Market Place Working Group.
Cllr Broom reported that she had attended an informal Wednesday morning “Cafe cluster” led by the executive of DALC � she found it a most useful way of sharing ideas and getting answers. Cllr Broom encouraged other Members to attend future events.
Chair reported that she had attended a meeting concerning Digital Derbyshire. She distributed explanatory literature and explained the advantage of having a local ”broadband champion” to push for better broadband coverage in rural areas.
A broken fence at the Jubilee and a damaged seat at the Market Place have been referred to Mr Spencer for repair.
Report from Finance Committee � the Council is operating within its budget.

(The Sims Trust is defunct.� As the Parish Council is the main financial contributor it was agreed to request the labels in the Bibles are changed to reflect this fact).
It was further agreed to recommend that from 1st April 2013 the monthly contribution to the Glebe Field Trust should be increased by the CPI at that time and that the annual contribution to CACN, whose website the Parish Council uses, should be increased from �120 to �150.
Gangroad project � Council awaits further detail on the proposals for information boards and a pit tub to be displayed at Fritchley
A New metal litter bin has been ordered for the RG play area to replace the burnt plastic one.
