Crich Parish Neighbourhood Plan

Over the last 18 months the neighbourhood plan steering group has been acting on behalf  and working in partnership with the Parish Council to produce a Neighbourhood Plan for the parish.

Neighbourhood plans are produced to sit alongside the district Local Plan currently being produced by Amber Valley Borough Council.

The purpose of the Crich Parish Neighbourhood Plan is to provide a framework which will determine the shape, character and future of the parish over the next 15 years.

It has been produced using local knowledge and opinions and incorporates the wishes of parishioners as to how they want the parish to develop.

The main points of the plan are -

  • To protect and enhance the environment
  • To promote and encourage commercial development
  • To promote appropriate rurual housing development

The public consultation is now ongoing and parishioners can be involved by viewing the draft plan on the group's website and making any comments they wish on the comments page.

Drop in sessions are being held in April at the following locations -
