Crich Fête Week

Crich fête will take place this year on Saturday 14th July. Following several suggestions, the fête committee is looking to co-ordinate a series of events over the preceding week.

Starting with the Well Dressings on Saturday 7th July, it is hoped that there will be series of things to entertain you right through until (at least) Sunday 15th. So far being considered are Family Fitness events, where you can get free taster sessions for a number of sport and well-being activities, Open Gardens, Street Theatre and much more.

If any parish organisation or group would like to organise an event for this week, the fête committee would love to hear from you, so that they can advise about other things happening, any potential clashes etc. This will be particularly important if any event is planned for the fête day itself.

Is anybody prepared to organise a guided walk, a talk about some aspect of Crich, a music event? Let your imagination run!

Please note that the committee cannot be directly involved in the actual organisation of individual events outside of the fête itself. Event organisers should be prepared to take full responsibility for their own risk assessment, insurance, marshalling, first aid requirements, detailed publicity etc. as required. The committee will, however, provide co-ordination, publicity for the week as a whole and a Fête Week programme of events.

We look forward to hearing from you!

If you are interested in organising an event, please provide initial thoughts and details to Geoff Brown at
