Brownlee Foundation Triathlon

Children from Crich Carr C of E Primary School took part in a mini triathlon event at Woodlands School, Allestree on Thursday 28th September run by the Brownlee Foundation. The children completed a swim, followed by a cycle and finished with a run. Both Alastair and Jonny Brownlee were there to encourage and support the children, and help make it a memorable and enjoyable day for all! I wonder if we have any future Olympians amongst us?

Harvest Festival

Pupils with some of the produce at the Harvest festivalFriday 13th October saw our annual Harvest Festival service held in school with many friends and families associated with the school in attendance. The Infants led the service this year with a performance based around their study of the book “Handa’s Surprise” which has been our theme for this term. The children have been learning about Africa and its animals, putting this learning to good use in the scenes and songs performed in the service.

We had a fantastic array of produce donated by parents and friends of the school. At the end of the day this produce was sold with all proceeds being donated to Crich Careline.
