Gift Day

Saturday 10th June 2017
St Mary’s Church is a building for the whole community of Crich and many people have used it for their weddings, baptisms, funerals and just a place to seek quiet and peace. In the last twelve months the building has seen visits by local schools for seasonal festivals and educational needs; a whole day visit by Alderwasley Hall School; concerts and organizations; many types of church services.

The Welcome Project (accessible toilet, kitchen, meeting room, electrified clock, etc) is near completion apart from some minor works and we are enjoying greater space at the back of the church. Now we have an £8,000 loan to repay and the remains of the project bills.

On Saturday the 10th of June the church will be open from 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. for anyone to bring a donation towards the maintenance and work of the church in the community of Crich and for people to pray or be prayed for if they wish.

Be a good neighbour

At a recent meeting discussing care of the elderly we agreed that it would be good to remind you all that you might have neighbours in need of support. In particular there is:

Crich Care Line, tel Dawn 852846

Crich Luncheon Club, tel Cathy 852635

Crich Day Care, tel Glebe 857894

It is no longer the case that referrals have to be through official bodies for Day Care; please do contact the Glebe direct.
