British Science week

We celebrated British Science week by having a ‘Super Science Sleepover’ in school. The children enjoyed a variety of exciting activities including making lava lamps, model rockets and chromatography. All sorts of nightlife were spotted during our night-time exploration, including bats! Our engineering skills were challenged through some new construction sets that we purchased for the event.

Ofsted

Our recent Ofsted inspection found that Crich Carr Church of England Primary School continues to be a GOOD school. The inspector reported that‘parents and carers are overwhelmingly positive about all aspects of school life, with 100% of parents saying that they would recommend the school to others. Staff know the pupils and their families well.

Parents particularly highlighted the breadth of the curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities offered to all pupils. One parent summed this up by saying, ‘For a very small school it packs a punch!’

S.I.A.M.S

Our SIAMS inspection last term showed us to be a GOOD church school. The report states that ‘The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners.’
